The Ranthan Khrak Trek is a hidden gem in the Kumaon Himalayas, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks and a chance to experience the unique culture of remote mountain villages. Starting from Kathgodam, this 5-day trek takes you through lush forests, traditional Bhotiya villages like Gogina, and high-altitude meadows with panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and other Himalayan giants. The trek culminates at the pristine Ranthan Khrak lake, a sacred alpine lake surrounded by towering peaks.

Highlights
Kathgodam to Bageshwar
Pick-up from Kathgodam Railway Station at 7 AM. Drive through beautiful Kumaon countryside to Bageshwar (6-7 hours). Visit the famous Bagnath Temple. Overnight stay in Bageshwar.
Bageshwar to Gogina Village
Drive to Gogina village (4-5 hours), the starting point of our trek. Acclimatization walk around the village to experience local culture. Overnight in village homestay.
Gogina to Kharak
Start trekking through mixed forests of oak and rhododendron (5-6 hours). Reach Kharak meadow with stunning mountain views. Camp overnight at Kharak.
Kharak to Ranthan Khrak and Return
Early morning ascent to Ranthan Khrak lake (4-5 hours). Enjoy breathtaking views of Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks. After exploration, descend back to Kharak for overnight stay.
Kharak to Gogina to Kathgodam
Descend to Gogina village (3-4 hours). Drive back to Kathgodam (8-9 hours) with beautiful memories of the Himalayas. Tour concludes at Kathgodam Railway Station by evening.
